Taliban have seized the most important areas in Afghan and trying to control the country’s revenue.
Founded in September 1994, the Taliban has been operating with their own aim. And I think their intention should’ve clear now.
The US reported to recently withdraw their Military from Afghanistan and this may have given the Taliban excuses to execute their plan. And sadly enough they have started seizing key borders of Afghanistan land and source of income.
While the deep reason for the US withdrawer of their troop may not be seen clearly. It has caused serious casualties than if they remain.
If you don’t know who the Taliban are, below is a brief description from Wikipedia.
The Taliban or Taleban, who refer to themselves as the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, is a Deobandi Islamist movement and military organization in Afghanistan, currently waging war within the country. Since 2016, the Taliban’s leader has been Mawlawi Hibatullah Akhundzada. – Wikipedia
Seriously enough, Islamic Movement taking over the Islamic country!
Founded: September 1994, Kandahar, Afghanistan
Operating areas: Afghanistan
Founders: Mohammed Omar, Abdul Ghani Baradar
In addition, the Taliban have seized three of Afghanistan’s eight dry ports, including two on the border with Iran, the Islamic movement is taking control of the important resources owned by the Afghan government. Likewise Afghan is losing key districts to the Taliban`s force.
As outlined in a recent report, the Taliban took control of the Islam Qala and Turghundi border crossings, both in Herat province and bordering Iran.
Also, the Taliban had seized the Shirkhan Bander crossing in Kunduz province which borders Uzbekistan two weeks ago and has maintained total control of the area.
Sadness is spreading throughout the world upon hearing of the attack.
Afghan forces protecting all three dry ports put up little resistance. In all three instances, the Afghan security forces and customs officials abandoned their posts and fled across the border. – Shabbir H. Kazmi
However, the Taliban Military has slowly taken over key areas in Afghan with heavy shooting and bombarding in the Spin Boldak crossing.
But as of the time of this writing, the government still have control over Torkham in Nangarhar, Aqeena in Faryab, Spin Boldak in Kandahar, Kabul City and Mazar-i-Sharif.
Afghan will be losing over US$20 million if the necessary measure is not taken by the government military as the Islam Qala Dry Port and another dry post, have been seized by the Taliban – Those areas are the driest posts that generate high revenue.
Taliban now control 204 districts and contests another 124 districts, according to the real-time assessment by FDD’s Long War Journal
In conclusion, the Taliban’s desperate military plan has allowed it to suck most of the Afghan government’s revenue. Because they are capturing major cities and releasing massive pressure on the high population centre.
May Allah Save The Muslim Umma!
